Resolved Question: I don't understand Americans...?

14 December 2011, 5:15 am

Well, I do, but I don't. THIS ONLY APPLIES TO SOME AMERICANS. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THIS INTO OFFENCE IF YOU ARE NOT MORE THAN 2 OF THE BELOW. AS I JUST SAID THIS IS ONLY FOR SOME AMERICANS... They say they're the best (True, currently they may be. However they are just a stain on the pan of a toilet waiting to be washed away by the likes of China and India) but they fail to realise they are less than 250 years old and places like Britain and China etc have been around for many hundreds of years. They are arrogant. I mean, whenever they start trying to back America, it's always "You'd be talking German without us!" or "We destroyed Germany and saved your a** in both ww1 and ww2!" Both statements are of course false. They did help, I appreciate the help they did. Financing Britain and crushing Japan played vital roles in the war, but many uneducated Americans that watch way too many Hollywood films about wars instead of reading them up only see America as the winners. They are loud. I was at a nice restaurant and it was nice and quiet, as it should be in an expensive place, until a few Americans burst in. Literally. They must think they're in a Greek tavern of something, throwing their food around, screaming, shouting and eventually being removed from the premises by security... Education. I'm not sure, but I have a theory that since the end of the cold war American schools have started feeding students lies about who does what. They think they won everything with one hand tied behind their backs and the other chopped off. I'm not being judgemental, but they haven't won a single war alone since the end of world war 2. Every war they have won Britain has been involved. They lost the Vietnam war, and are currently in a draw with Afghanistan. Notice how Britain wasn't really involved in Vietnam, but is in Afghanistan? So where did this crazy idea of global conquest come from? The $14 trillion debt, or just remnants of the cold war? They seem to think just because they have more nuclear bombs than everyone else, they should be on top. Wrong. It just means they will get hammered by the rest of the armed planet. (Russia - due to the growing tension between them, Britain - Counterstrike, it's what we do ;), France, Germany, Possibly North Korea - just because they hate Americans and so on) if they ever launch a Nuclear bomb anywhere. They also seem to have the crazy feeling that there army is stronger than our own SAS? Which I feel pretty hard done by. The SAS are the (in my eyes, and the eyes of several others) strongest special land force on the planet. Americans, however, claim that even their army training is tougher than the training SAS go through. Wrong, seeing as the SAS inspired all American armies to date. Another thing wrong with their military is collateral damage. They follow some kind of "Shut eyes and shoot" scheme. The amount of men they have lost due to friendly fire and the amount of civilian and British Army casualties is actually unbelievable. And also the mishap with the grenade and the reporter. I don't recall quite high death ratios with any other armies. They say the British army is weak, when, in actual fact, it was the British army that managed to control and hold over 2/3 of the planet until WW1, which is understandable. A country that controls most of the planet having to fight off invaders globally is a hard job when the countrymen don't wish to help fight nor do they wish to be under British control.. So, if there are any Americans that I have offended, I'm sorry but, I just want to know why the American education seems to only display lies about the world and why America suddenly have this idea that they are the best, nobody can survive without them. I mean, everyone else has been around for hundreds of years (Britain has certainly done well for itself, owning half the planet for longer than America could) Really, I only want American answers. But anyone is welcome! Orteglio, I'm not saying only Americans are obnoxious and arrogant. I don't think I am, but you probably do, either way everyone is a little obnoxious in their own way. Also, I'm sure if you could do it once, you could do it again. Since you killed their leader, it shouldn't really be an issue, right? Woops Orteglio, there we go. Nuking, always your first option. That's what I mean, It's not as easy as flicking a switch and sitting down to drink coffee, you have to understand that not every country is in bed with you like we are at the moment, so they will quite happily retaliate. John. Tech you created? There we go. Another form of making America sound great. You didn't invent this laptop I'm using, nor did you invent the internet. Nor did you invent the clothes I'm wearing, in my house you didn't invent, with the central heating you didn't invent, you invented electricity. I'll give you that. Jsbn2001 That's the attitude I want! You actually make me feel bad for labelling this sort of stuff. You seem like a nice American, so you are not one of the people who really have no clue about the outside world. Also, relations between Russia and America will make it so the nuclear race will never end. I know lots about every country, but America intrigues me. The way it suddenly rose to power after world war 2, impressive but questionable. either way, thanks for answering :) Also, the food experience is more of a one off. I just used it as an example. Orteglio. True, I know what you meant but the wording sounded like you just wanted the button to be pressed ASAP. You can defeat them, I'll give you that but it would take too long. The only reason we're pulling out is because of money. That thing that cost UK the world? Not saying it's a bad thing. In fact it's made life a lot easier for everyone to govern their own country, but if we continue to fight in Afghanistan, the UK will rebel due to heightened taxes and VAT increases. Mr Cameron doesn't want that, because he wont know how to defend himself against the wave of armed forces coming for him... -.-'' The Jer, not once did I say your role in WW1 and WW2 was unimportant. I said it seems as though since the end of the COLD WAR you country has removed several parts of history (Especially Russia and such) No, I'm not so sad as to only get information from Yahoo! Answers. I have been to America for a few weeks before - New York - and Jamaica (A popular American tourist destination) for three weeks. I have to say, the ones in Jamaica were slightly more pumped than those in New York (Holiday fever or something? Trying to make it sound more American-ish...) And, true. I didn't notice any other Americans making noise. I merely stated only a few Americans did this. I didn't target every single American on Earth...... Read More »
